Introduction

The University of Hawai`i Maui College (全球网赌十大网站) Campus Security Department, under the administration of the Vice Chancellor for Administrative Services, is responsible for providing security services on the campus. The Department consists of a chief, two sergeants and five security officers. The Campus Security Office is located at the northwest corner of the Laulima Building, on the lower level facing the parking lot. Campus Security Officers are on duty 24 hours a day, 365 days per year.

The Campus Security Department is firmly committed to providing a safe and secure environment for our students, faculty, staff and guests.  Our policies and procedures are designed to ensure that every possible precautionary measure is taken to protect persons and property. However, each member of the 全球网赌十大网站 community should use good judgment and take appropriate precautions to reduce the possibility of becoming the victim of a crime on campus.

The main campus in Kahului consists of 40 academic, administrative, and recreational buildings situated throughout 78 acres. In addition, 全球网赌十大网站 has Outreach Educational Centers on Molokai, Lana`i, Lahaina, and Hana. The campus population consists of approximately 4,400 day and night students, and approximately 255 faculty and staff.

Clery Act Compliance:

In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Act of 1990, 全球网赌十大网站 publishes an Annual Security Report by October 1st every year. This report contains information pertaining to campus security and personal safety, crime prevention, crime reporting policies, disciplinary procedures, and other important resources related to public safety. Also contained in the report are crime statistics collected from the Maui Police Department, the Campus Security Department and other Campus Security Authorities. Federal law requires that we disclose crime statistics for the previous three years for certain crimes that occurred within our Clery Geography.
